This is a company that is trying to extort money from people. I got a phone call from them and told me that I owed money for a payday loan and then he said that if I didn't pay the money back ($1732.45) I would have 2 felony charges against me and that they could put me in jail for 180 days. His name is Lester Williams who claims he is an investigator for this Mediation Company, he wouldn't give me the name of the payday loan place. He also threatens to turn me into the attorney generals office and tells me that I better get an attorney. This is a huge scam! I will be turning them into the attorney generals office and the BBB and the FBI as they have all of my identity, SS#, Bank# and address and phone number.
Same info as above, only I did not speak with anyone, I let it go to voice mail. The caller did not address me by name. No company stated but the name of the caller was Elliott Jacobs, message was blah blah blah, "Govern yourself accordingly". One call on Friday from same #, no message.
If calls continue, I plan to report to the proper agency.
I got a call saying the same things from this number which is from KY . but so am I so I am not sure if it is fake. Have any of you talked to a LESTER WILLIAMS..?
I also received a call from this company today. Who gave almost accurate information, then told me since I didn't pay the loan back it was a felony and that I had 24 hours to call back and good luck. At first I was concerned thinking I had given false information and began to google everything I could think of. Then my father told me the same people called him and said the same thing. I don't get it. But I'm glad I stumbled across this webpage.
I just received a call from this number on my home phone. My father answered they stated that i will be charged with a felony charge and a warrant will also be served. told my father that i left him as a contact which i never even leave the house phone as my nunber anywhere. no further information was given except if i didnt contact them that i could be facing jail time! this had me scared like i didnt do anything wrong and i ran my credit report all my pay day loans are paid in full so i dont what this is in regards to!!
