Been getting these calls for a couple of weeks. Have never answered one until today. Said they are looking for (gave me two names, first names were the same, last names were different). Asked them who they were. They would not answer - said they needed to know I was the person they were looking for because of privacy act they couldn't reveal who they were or what they wanted. I told them they had the wrong person and told them not to call again. Evidently they have something to do with credit cards.
Have received 2 calls in 2 days from this number. 1st call they were looking for my sons ex-wife. 2nd call looking for someone I didn't know . I just hung up. I will not answer their calls again.
It is a collection agency, they were looking for my ex wife that I have been divorced from for over a decade. I GLADLY GAVE THEM HER NEW LAST NAME, ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER. HAHAHAHA
I have this # blocked in my cell phone because they would not stop calling. Last week they called me AT WORK. I work at a police department! Caller ID came up "PCR" (which is some company called Premier Credit Recovery). Caller asked to speak w/ me, identified herself as Virginia Zimmer and was VERY, VERY, VERY RUDE. She has some audacity calling an emergency line, talking over me / ignoring me, and trying to tell me what to do. If she ever does it again, I'll be sure to have her job in the least, as this will not be tolerated. Maybe that will knock that ego of hers down a few notches.
They have been calling my fiance's father with whom we don't even associate with...and asking for me, I know for a fact I would never give his number for any reason. When I called back they kept asking for my social security and it took me 4-5 times for them to tell me what company they represent. I gave them the # they were calling for me but couldn't find it in their system. Needless to say they are some "credit" place and said I was used for a reference. No name as to whom it was about. Definitely a scam!
This is Pioneer Credit Recovery calling to collect your student loan debt thru Sallie Mae / USA Loan Group. They use an auto dialer and when you answer, the system detects your voice and immediately transfers the call to a live agent if one is available. If one is not, then you will get another automated call soon thereafter. This may go on all day and night. The company employs those without scruples. They break all the federal laws regarding fair debt collection including making calls to your family members, employers, and neighbors in where they divulge you owe a debt to someone. That in itself is highly illegal. Do not answer their calls or you will get thrown quickly into their harassing nightmare.
