I noticed the first couple people were from Mass. I am from Fall River. Is this a Mass thing? Just curious as it does not make a difference. I have gotten six 800 type calls today on my business phone and I am trying to work. I do not answer but I have to turn machines off and stop to check it out. It is aggravating.
I have answered this call. Always get a dodgy "representative" with heavy Indian accent claiming to be from Visa, Mastercard AND Discover (?!) and wanting to "qualify" me for a credit card rate reduction but they need info on the accounts to "verify" them. No direct or indirect questions can get a company name out of them, they just keep saying they are from the card issuer [Visa/Mastercard/Discover].
I get the feeling you will regret any information given to them.
didn't answer, but part of message left on answering machine stating I have or would receive a rate increase, but if I press a number, I could qualify for a deduction. Sounds like a phishing expedition to me!
