Caller initially identified herself as "GSA South Carolina" to our sales associate. She asked to speak to the owner. I took the call and she then said she was representing a "private consulting firm". At this point, I politely told her I was not interested.
I received a similar call to our office when I was not in. They were looking for the owner and identified themselves as "GSF South Carolina" and was left a message that is was regarding a 5 year federal contract. I called back and connected to the caller's extension but was sent to voicemail. The automated line said GSA South Carolina. I'm sure it is a company that will charge to get your certification paperwork in order.
Called and said that they had a 5 year contract available from GSA. Called back and had to leave a message . Agree that it is a "get your paperwork in order for a big fee" company.
Also received call on 3/16/12. Thought it was a scam. They probably bought the database from the South Carolina Dept. of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation.
My guess is that everyone who received a call, holds a professional license or certification in SC.
