I received a call from this #. I returned the call and the # wouldn't go through. I researched Resurgents actual # and called them. They could not find any info in their system related to my cell #. I'm guessing that this is some sort of scam.
Don't be fooled. I got a call from this number with the same caller ID "Resurgent Capital".
They are a debt collection agency, but I have no debts, and minutes after they called my
home, they called my 15-year-old daughter's cell phone, a number I give to no one and
never put out in cyberspace or in print, so how could they get that number and why would
they call it? They are obviously fishing for some poor soul to give them money they don't
deserve. If you call their customer support number 888-665-0374 they will ask for the
social security number associated with the account they are managing. Don't give them one.
Ask them to take your number off their call list. They looked for both my number and my
daughter's cell number and found nothing in their system, obviously because we have no debts
and no accounts with them. If they call again, I will sue the company for harassment.
