I received a call from this #. I returned the call and the # wouldn't go through. I researched Resurgents actual # and called them. They could not find any info in their system related to my cell #. I'm guessing that this is some sort of scam.
They called me and said that before they would tell me why they were calling me and who they were that I had to verify my social security number! As is! The manager on the phone was absolutely horrible and rude, and all he did was tell at me. They can take a hike.
They called my work number asking for one of my managers (this is a report on his behalf since he was absent at the time of calling). As I stated that he was out of the office, I offered for them to leave a message and they hung up on me. Oddly enough, I've been getting calls all day from a different number (877-893-0165) for the same manager, and after I researched that number, they are also apparently "debt collectors." Not sure if they're connected in any way, but I have had calls from these supposed "debt collectors" three times today. If a company will not leave a message, but calls three times and gets the same answer from me each time, I think that's a sure sign to not answer next time.
