called this number(chris lee) back and told them to quit calling he in return told me he was gonna call back all the time and he didnt care if i liked it or not!He proceeded to say quite a few other rude and threatning remarks....ridiculous!!!Needless to say I am calling the sherriffs office on thisone.
Calls my cell phone and costs me minutes at least 2 times per week. They are calling for someone whom I don't even recognize. How do you get them to stop?
I've had calls from this number for over a year, sometimes the caller is Chris Lee, sometimes Hope Sims. Always asks for my husband who can not remember much and has NO idea who they are. I ask if I can help and they only say" tell him to call this number." My husband has been really ill for a couple of years now, I suspect it's a medical collection, something that I thought was paid and is not, but I'm not going to have him call back because he will just get upset and will turn the phone over to me anyway. If they would identify theirselves, send me a statement with the info on it, I would pay them. AHHHHGGGG!
These calls are indeed from Merchant's Credit Association of Anderson which has a long history of association with AnMed Health and other local medical providers. They also have a long history of violating laws appertaining to credit collections, assuming that most people won't do anything about it. Fact is, I had calls from them a few years ago and sent them a cease and desist letter, and kept a copy for my records. I suppose they must think I shredded my copy, but I didn't : ) Now they've started calling back again, probably with reference to a family member who lost income and cannot pay medical bills now. My phone number is listed to me, in my name only, and I am not responsible for the medical bill(s) in question. They have violated my previous cease-and-desist order, so now it is time to take the matter up with the FTC and the SC Attorney General's Office, and then with my attorney(s). "Mr." Chris Lee (if that's his real name) is a total jerk and an a..h... as well.
