I received a call from 864-332-6868 and a male asked for my wife. I told her she was at work and he told me he could not talk to me. He then gave me a telephone number of 864-226-5356 and his name "Chris", I then asked him what company he was calling from. At this time Chris be came very rude toward me and said I already told you I cant give you any information and I need to have my wife call me to give them permission. I was treated like I was the scum of the earth by this man. I later found out he was allegedly the VP of Merchant Credit and there was several complaints on them for bullying customers. I am not sure how someone stays in business acting like that to customers.
I called back a few minutes after talking to Chris and a female answered the phone. I asked to speak with a supervisor and after being put on hold for about 7 minutes Chris picked up on the phone. He asked what I wanted and I said I wanted to speak with a supervisor and he asked about what. I knew that this was the same person I had dealings with during the first call and I told him I didn't want to speak with him I wanted to speak with a supervisor.
He continued to be rude and said ok I will put you on hold never saying he was the supervisor. I stayed on hold for about 3 more minutes then hung up and called the number back. Chris answered the phone and I again asked to speak with a supervisor He at this time said he was the supervisor and I would have to speak with him. He continued to belittle me on the phone and threaten to report me for harassing phone calls. I just tried to explain that he didn't need to cop and attitude with me. I then ended the phone call by telling him to have a great day. I am sure if I had not hung up and called back I would have been left on hold forever since he had no intentions of speaking with me over the matter.
They have called me and my husband for years threatening everything. They ask you a question then don't let you answer. I had surgery in October of 2013 the lost my job a week later. They started calling about bills I have never received for outrageous amounts and I have never did anything with them. If I am behind or couldn't pay a bill I pay the original company. You never have to deal with them. Block all numbers they call from and report all their behavior to anyone you can! I hate dealing with them and refuse to ever again no matter what we owe. We aren't rich and on 1 income can't always pay things off within the 90 days or so. They just think if they make you feel bad you will pay them so they get a cut
