I've gotten multiple phone calls as well. I talked to someone this morning and she was very rude on the phone. Said I opened an account with Citibank in 2005 with no intent on paying the bill and I owe $2,168.92. She was very rude, told me my options were to settle it out, or go to court. She said I would be getting a subpoena at my work and home in the next 7 days. I asked for any information she could provide that would tell me what this was about, she said it wasn't her job to tell me.
Yeah, they've called me 2 days in a row. I googled and saw all your comments. Thanks to all of you for the heads up. They called my cell and land line. Don't know how they got both. They say I have a restraining order. Funny, I've never been to South Carolina. My lawyer friend told me that if you are served with some legal stuff, it is NEVER over the phone. It is usually hand delivered. This is a SCAM. Not sure what their angle is since they don't answer the phone when I called back, only a recording. Probably some loser who lives in his mom's basement and masturbates while calling and scaring people. Dude, get a life! Get a dog! Get a girl friend! Buy an inflatable doll. Do everyone a favor and put the barrell to your temple and pull the trigger!
