The lady that called me from this number called and she did not identify herself, she was very rude and I placed her on reject. Some of the collection agencies have real trashy people working for them and they try to use strong arm tactics that don't sit well with most people. I don't know who CRA is.

LMAO at CRA & PRA
To all Android users, get the App: Call Control Pro. Their blacklist has thousands of numbers already databased. It's comparatively an expensive app. Personally speaking, I think  its worth its weight in gold. Your phone does not ring. Alls the blacklisted calls go straight to V/M. They never leave a message and even if they did, take a deep breath, and delete without reply. The worst thing you can do is engage them. Smile silently to yourself as you practise the principles of passive resistance. Don't you think is they really had a reghtful claim they would do so within the parameters of the law? The best way to say F.U to this brand of slime is not with angnst ridden fists beating on your desk while your blood pressure skyrockets, but with a silent smile while you, with composure, ignore their existence. Remember, the opposite of both hate and love is indifference. DON'T LET THEM LIVE RENT-FREE IN YOU HEAD.

I feel so dumb!!!  I got a call  2 days ago and i answered (dummy me), i have a 2 year old and was distracted, all i heard was my name and recovery. Since my car is in the shop i acknowledged it was me. Once the supervisor came on she started verifying my last four os my ssn and again im busy with my child so i was agreeing. She was very rude, telling me to stop what im doing and talk to her, i said no . Then she started telling my my "debts" and how i can pay for them. Once i told her i didnt know cuz i didnt have a job, she started yelling at me asking me how i supported myself. I told her it wasnt her concern and she got p.o.ed saying it was and she was gonna put as a refusal to pay, and that the IRS would settle this with some debt relief or something like that and hung up. Didnt even give me a chance to get any information from her. Mind u this debt is over 9 years old and not even on my credit report. Should I be worried?? What can i do?? Will this go back on me credit report?? Im so confused. Someone please help.

I used to work for Stage Stores Inc/Alliance Data, here in Texas, who were the credit and collections department for Bealls, Palais Royal, and Stage Stores.  I worked in collections and the way we would get information is via the internet.  Sad, and I hated that job (the credit department was sooo much better), but we would utilize the internet, phone books, different social networks and anything else that we could use to find a person who owed on their store accounts (these were seriously past due accounts).  Never once were we able or even allowed to contact cell phone companies to find out a number or info for the client we were searching for.  Having been on the other side of the phone as a collector and your average person in debt, I know where you are all coming from.  Make sure you know your rights.  Follow up on the FDCPA rules and regulations and make sure you understand everything.  Debt collectors are not allowed to call before 8am and they are not allowed to call after 9pm (this will be your time).  They can not harass you in any way.  If they do, advise them that you are ending the call (make sure you have their name, a callback number, and agent number, if they have one).  When you do, contact the Attorney General's office and the BBB in your area to advise them of what is going on.  Should they contact you again, unwanted, then tell them you would like them to cease and desist all telephone communications and that you only want to receive information from them via postal mail.  They must do this otherwise there could be serious legal matters to follow.  Also, if you have an attorney (for any reason such as bankruptcy), then you need to tell them that you need their info so you can give that info to your attorney so they may contact the collector.  Tell them that they must stop calling.  No debt collector (no matter where they are from) can threaten you, and this means saying that they will take you to court or jail or garnish your wages.  Those things will be sent to you in writing through a court system.  Should you ever receive a threat, document it, contact the Attorney General, and contact your local police department for harassment.

Again, make sure you locate the FDCPA rules and regulations and understand them and understand and know your rights.  Yes, you might have made a debt, and yes, you might not be able to take care of it, but you still have rights, no matter what.  As a collector, I was never, EVER, rude to my clients because I know what it's like to be talked to that way and it's not going to make it any easier.  Many of these collections are overseas and don't know any other way but to be rude because they were trained that way.  Always remember that you have rights.  You are human and better yet, an American.  And as Americans, we have rights to be able to be talked to without being harassed over the phone.  This also goes for email and mail services as well as social networks.  Hope this helps ya out some.
