New one. Didn't recognize name or number. They didn't leave a message and I didn't pick up. I asked for tougher penalties on phone fraud for Christmas, in the meantime a new call blocker. I have 312 numbers blocked and this is pure harassment.
It was Microsoft Technical Support, or at least some guy(?) with a heavy accent said it was. He said their servers having been picking up stuff from my computer and he would like to check it out for me. He asked me what was on my screen and I said my desktop. He asked me to hit my windows key and I told him that I couldn't because I was talking to him on the phone and my phone wasn't at my computer. He then asked if I could move my phone to where my computer was to which I answered no as it was attached to the wall. All true. He then asked if there was another number or a cell phone that he could call me back on. I just laughed at him and told him that it was unlikely that I would give a scammer my cell phone number. Guess I hurt his feelings as he hung up on me. It was fun while it lasted. No problem as I'm sure they will call again so I can continue having a battle of wits with an unarmed person.
Same deal here..Alan McNeill. I have all of these "junk" numbers now saved to my contacts under the letter Z with a silent ringtone because no one will stop them. Some I've even blocked and they get through. At least I don't have to hear them ring anymore. Just a suggestion.
same spam info as the rest. played along with him told him I was typing what he said and computer was not accepting it. did this for about 10 minutes. finally told him yes it is responding. he asked what it said. told him is said 'your mother f"""s donkeys' and started laughing at him. he went ballistic and I just kept laughing at him. I finally hung up and block number. he tried twice to call back and got blocked each time. why doesn't the government force the phone companies to give us the choice to block all voip call, for free. the technology is there.
Called twice, 15 minutes apart. I did not answer either times. One more call and I will block the number. I just don't answer calls that do not identify themselves.
