I have gotten several calls from different numbers including this one. The call goes to VM and all I hear is the sound of a call center with someone saying, "Hello? Hello?" Same results regardless of the number.
just received a call from this number wanted to talk to computer owner said problem with microsoft windows 7 software regarding virus from internet wanted me to go to my computer and turn it on. but couldn't give me any information from his side. I called the number back the number disconnected. The caller made it sound like he was calling from a call center and that he represented microsoft windows.

They like to send you to download programs that will let them take remote control of your computer. ammyy.com or logmein.com and two. These are legitimate programs that people use for remote access. My sister is an accountant and she can sign onto her own computer from anywhere and she has access to some of her clients computers so she can work on their business' books for them from her office.
The scammers want to sell you a 'protection program,' sometimes they will hide your desktop icons and want you to pay to get them back. (WinXP: right click on desktop/arrange icons by/show desktop icons)
I suspect they may also use their access to download keyloggers to get more of your personal info and/or install botnet malware so they can sell access to your computer to be used in mailing spam and participating in DDoS attacks.
"has been disconnected or no longer in service" means the number is spoofed https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caller_ID_spoofing and your caller should be treated as hostile.
