Just received a call from an Indian speaking male who said my computer was infected and would be hacked as soon as I turned it on; but he was going to walk me through the process and fix it. I told him I was busy and I'd call him back and asked for a number. He then told me to take my time; he was in no hurry. I asked for the number again and he told me to call 302-482-8155 as soon as I could.
I got the call from 1-878-286-0398 . The guy said he is calling from Microsoft and my computer is hacked. He is getting emails from my machine. I yelled and hanged up.. beware of the scams
Just got a call from 878-286-0398 which says Pennsylvania, calling the number back shows it is disconnected. I thought spoofing a caller id number had been illegal for several years? Same call I got last week about Microsoft wanting me to pay them $50 to fix the hacker attempt. Men with indian accents.
