I received a call AT WORK from someone soliciting monies for St. Jude. She asked for me by name at my private work phone number that is not listed in any phone book!!! She wanted me to sign up for a monthly donation to St. Jude's via credit card. After I said "NO" to a few of her pleas she then asked me for an email address that she could reach me at. Being a suspicious sort of person anyway, I declined.....then she finally gave up. I too think this is a scam....Would St. Jude's really do this type of thing?
I get calls from this number in Memphis, TN every week. This time I answered as I wanted to know who keeps bugging me....turns out a lady telling me how grateful they are that I have been contributing to St. Jude hospital, etc...wants me to give her a credit card or debit card number so I can send monthly payments...figured this was just another scam.
Someone looking for donations for St. Jude's Children Hospital. I told her we give every month and she wanted to know what credit card I use to be put in the files. I told her it is direct from my checking account. They shouldn't ask for credit card numbers.
