I won a "free cruise to the Bahamas". I need only to answer a "scientific" survey. (appears shady). Answered 3 questions asking about the green eco. After answering press 1 to go rep for my free cruise. Phone disconnected.
So sad but behold, 302-747-1098 called. It is Giovanni to help me with my cruise. He is from Free Web Promotions. The actual cruise will be on Grand Celebration. There is a tax fee of 59.00 (I see they have a different definition of free). There are some questions he has to ask before sending me to the "specialist". Need to be over 18. Need to be able to travel in 18 months. Need to have a debit/credit card. To assure there is no misunderstanding, I will be recorded saying yes or no to understanding that I may get other calls, some may be robocalls. I said no. He seemed surprised. I asked if I had to say yes so he would transfer me over. He stated yes. So I said, no not interested.
Both numbers blocked.
I am reporting this because
1) The survey is a cover-up for a telemarketer solicitation
2) The tape recorded inquiry is an attempt to circumvent the no robo calls.

Answer is as simple as these are scammers, crooks, criminals with absolutely no regard for otherwise useless do not call lists and know how to and routinely skirt them. Answer is to relax and find an app or device that blocks or hangs up on any or all calls not otherwise allowed by being in your contact list.
