I saw this number on Caller ID, simply listed as Covington, which is a town near here. Picked up the phone, no voice, no sound, no dial tone, no nothing, so I hung up.
Someone calling from a (more than likely) spoofed local number trying to sell me an extended warranty for my car. Called herself "Jane," though with her accent I doubt that was her real name. Said she was calling from a company called something like "Warranty Protection Services." Same number had called before, but I didn't pick it up and she/they didn't leave a voicemail.

Obviously not a local call, when you answer it takes a few seconds to connect on the other end. Then someone with a very thick accent (not West TN!) tries to sell you a warranty. I have told them to take me off the list and i get a call almost daily.
