Called numerous times on previous days. Called this a.m. @ 8 a.m. & tried to reject number only to find out its a landline and for an extra charge my cell phone carrover would block the call for me. He called back a little later and I got the same spiel as everyone else. Finally got him to stop.talking long enough to tell him NOT to call me again. He said "Ok" and HE hung up on me!! Will 'watch' and see if he calls again..
Yes it is a Scam.
Never let people who call you gain remote access to your PC. They will steal all your private information, give you malware, over charge you and generally ruin your day (or several). Do not answer unknown callers and do not call them back.
Same scam from the "Windows Technical Department". You have a virus, here install this, now your do have a virus, need your credit card. Guess if they are still calling people must still be allowing them to infect their computer. Block these people.
A woman with a heavy Jamacian accent said that my computer was calling. I told her I didn't think my computer was using the phone right now, and that my computer does not have a heavy Jamacian accient. I said Hi Computer! She said she didn't understand. I hung up. Enough Colin for today.
I'm SICK of getting phone calls from this number. They've called me SEVEN TIMES this morning. What's even more annoying, is when you say, "Hello" there's dead silence for 30-40 seconds. If I'm not home, they'll leave a message pretending to be the IRS and say they're going to sue me. My FICA score is 819 and I'm debt free. Please HELP rid the air waves of this pond scum.
