Received numerous calls like this when I filed for bankruptcy after my divorce. Per my attorney, these calls are scam artist trying to prey on vulnerable people to scare them into giving them personal info to wipe out their bank accounts. A real debt collector has to go through the court system to pursue legal action to collect what's owed to them. They can not send someone to arrest you like this person threatened to.
Of course I got the same call saying I owe $5,000 and we haven't I received the paperwork? I asked not sure what paperwork you're referring to. The foreign voice then said well we're taking you to court and I hope you have a good civil attorney. Just wait for the paperwork. Fraudulent annoying calls.
