I get these type calls all the time but don't answer. The numbers always start with 1- then the 7 digit numbers which differ each time. I block them if they don't leave a message, which they never do but I think they are probably robo calls and have hundreds of different numbers so they just go to the next one on their list. Other calls are from other states or cities and always start with the 1 before the next seven digits following. Legit calls don't have the 1.
This is the second similar call I received from the 904 area code. I answers since I do a lot of business in the Jacksonville area. Both, time, they asked "Is Jake there?" Since the last call that came in from the same area code asking for Jake ultimately led to them trying to get me to donate to some bogus charity, I hung up immediately. I blocked this and the other number.
