Sharon Jackson also called my home, but now she's using 404-991-6864. She told me she didn't have to do me the favor of letting me know there was a warrant for my arrest, but that they had already picked up 24 others that day and I would be the 25th. She said I had "someone" deposit money in my Chase account with no intent on ever paying the money back. She wasn't very persistent, but she didn't get anywhere and finally said she would fill out an affidavit stating I was not the person they were looking for.
This is from a company named Smith, Dean & Associates. The same thing happened to myself and other family members. A guy called me and a female called my family members. Do not fall a victim to their tactics, it's illegal for them to harass you. File charges w/the Federal Trade Commission.
I received a call from this number also. A lady named Sharon called saying she was a prosecutor and there was a warrant for my arrest. First of all, I have never had a warrant for my arrest in the state of Florida. Secondly, I don't believe anyone from the Police Dept, or Court House would have the time to be calling me telling me that there is a warrant for my arrest and I need to call them back. I have no doubt these people use scare tactics to fool people into believing you owe them money. I called the number back and a man answered the phone. He first stated what I believed to be, "Dean and Associates," at that point I hung up the phone. If you are an officer of the court, prosecutor, or whatever you claim to be, you would not be calling from an attorney's office. DO NOT believe these people. DO NOT send them any money. Call an attorney FIRST, and then decide what to do.
Thanks to everyone who put your comments on this site. My Dad got a call from a "Jason Jackson" who stated he was a DA and he would be prosecuting my father if his debt was not paid immeaditily. This guy has some nerve threatening elderly people. I can't wait to report him. There are laws against elderly abuse. There is a professional way to handle business apparently their office needs a lesson on manners!!!
I received a call from a "Investigator Sharon Jackson" saying she was to be in court at 4:30 (1 hour from when she called) for a Federal Warrant that had been issued on my husband. Said if we didn't send $425.00 through Certified Funds (Moneygram) for a past due debt my husband owed she would have him arrested. She seemed to have "1/2 [***]" answers when I would ask her questions about it. Unfortunately we had been through a bankruptcy when my husband's job ended leaving us no choice. She said we had leased some equipment and it couldn't be included in the bankruptcy. Of course there was no leased equipment....he had purchased it. Luckily I thought to call my lawyer and she called the lady right away. My lawyer called back and told me that they wouldn't be contacting us anymore and that we did not owe this money. I asked if the lady knew that and she said "She most certainly knows that". So I would have liked to been a fly on the wall hearing that conversation. So don't fall victim to Smith Dean & Associates. I almost did...I would have paid the money if it meant keeping my husband out of jail. I wasn't going to take the chance. I was a total wreck. They are LIARS!!!
