This number keeps calling saying I committed fraud and that there's a warrent for my arrest if I don't pay a legal fee. It for a payday loan that I payed off then he changed his story saying I closed my account which I didn't then he changed his story again saying the payment was NSF which it wasn't. Has to be a scam
The last thing you want to do is to validate your information with them. DO NOT call them back; they are fraudstars and looking to suck you by making threats. I have had three contacts from these people now since 2011 and now. Ignore them completely
I received the same message but I am in Illinois, I told him the I would contact police see if they have record of this and he got very aggitated and said we are not going forward with this yet, so police would not know...lol I dont know whether to report or not to police, because to be quite honest it was very threatning to hear!
Yes, he said exact same to me. I am very worried as well he has my social security number and birthdate, my address etc. I told him I would contact police and see if this is a valid warrant. He said the police would not know because warrant is not going to be issued just yet. He got angry and then hung up. I called back and said give me case # so I can refer it to police and he would not give to me, got angry and said he would proceed with warrant. I am just wondering if I should report to local police or not, it was very disturbing call and threatening. Any suggestions if we should report it to police, he should be arrested, not me...lol Anyways, its worth a try because I do want to know how he has my information!
"This is Mr Johnson I am with the fraud and worthless check division the state of Illinois is about to issue a warrant out for your arrest today you need to call me ASAP"
He called me many times and also had all my information, SS# , address etc. He was very threatening and got very agitated when I said I would contact the police to see if there was any validity to this claim he was making.
