They have left several messages. One time I picked up the phone and pressed "one." She asked if I was calling to lower my interest rate. I asked which card she was calling about. She said they do VISA and MASTERCARD. I then asked, "But which of my cards are you calling me about specifically?" She hung up.
Called and said this is your last chance to lower your interest rate on your credit card. Press one to speak to a representative or two to let it expire. I tried to call the number right back and got a message that the number was disconnected. Sounds fishy.
As soon as I saw that the area code and prefix were from Jacksonville, Florida, I knew who this was calling. They keep telling me that this is my "last chance to lower my interest rates". They've been calling and telling me that for months. I keep telling them to remove me from their list and I keep reporting them to the "Do not call list" all to no avail. They keep calling, and frankly, I'm getting very tired of it. I don't pay any credit card interest. Period.
We also don't want anymore calls from these people. Tired of it, and can't seem to get them to stop. The Jacksonville number ID keeps just rolling on. How can we stop these people. Like you we don't pay interest on credit cards ever, if we can't pay in 30 days we just don't buy.
Called my credit card company after getting off the phone with these people & it is definately a SCAM....I did press '1' to find out who was calling me, as I'm on the Do Not Call List. 'Credit Services' offers to negotiate a lower interest rate on my highest rate credit card on my behalf. Went through this whole thing on how they needed to 'verify' to prevent fraud...vague answers were acceptable until they asked for my credit card #. I have to say, they had an comeback/answer for everything I asked, were persistent and did not hangup when I turned the 'physhing' card on them. They actually asked if there'd be a more convenient time to call back!Bank told me they are NOT a legitimate company!
They call to lower interest rates on credit cards. I usually just hang up, or don't answer at all. This time I hit 2 (to cancel last chance to lower rates). Then I called back. Number has been disconnected. We'll see if they call again, after canceling. Probably will. What a pain. I just won't answer again. My numbers are also on the DNC list.
