They called leaving a message to get you to call back, saying you are part of a settlement claim, you are entitled to money in settlement.
When you call they say you will have been issued a warrant for your arrest and yiur wages will be garnished if not paid. First it's a bait and switch. That's not legal.
Second you can't be arrested or threatened to be arrested for a payday loan default.
This is a scam
I was scammed a few years ago and I paid the 500 dollars to keep from being arrested. Since then I've educated myself by our local police department. Also kept all the recording of messages just in case. Scam scam scam...
Got a voicemsil stating I could benefit from a settlement. Called and got a voicemail. Then I read the above messages. I've blocked this number plus 904-559-1030. They left the same message. Beware of scammers!
They called my work phone, stating that I could be eligible for a financial settlement. Look up the number on google first and found all the above. Didn't call back.
