This company called to tell me I have an outstanding issue. That's funny, because I don't. They kept wanting me to verify my information and I kept repeating that I refuse to do that over the phone & especially with a company I have never heard of. I asked her what the outstanding issue was and was told I couldn't have that information until I verified my name & address. Nope, not a hope in hell; wasn't born yesterday.
This is a debt collection agency called "Global Credit." They've called my home many times looking for the previous owner of this phone number. They promised on the phone they would not call back (ha!), so now I'm sending a certified letter.
I've been getting the same call. Don't know why but he all he said was "Global". I recognized the number to be Canadian. The internet is such a great thing. All I did was type in the phone number and WA-LA. I turns out to an evasive bill collector. He said he couldn't tell me who he was until I told him who I was. A... BA-BYE.
This number calls all day and most of the night for the last six months. I never answer and do not know who"Global"is??????They just showed up at my gated community and the guard did not let him in........Scary.....
This is a company based out of Hong Kong that has a collection agency division. The website is http://www.globalcredit.com/group_contact.html. I am receiving calls for someone that does not live here. They first call, automatically put me on hold and then when a person comes on the line they answer, "Can I help you?" After reminding her that she called me she told me that she had "my file" and I need to call a number. I did so and was told the first time the calls would stop. Exactly 20 minutes later I got another call. After a heated discussion with someone that gave me what I thought was a fake name I haven't received a call again yet tonight but we'll see. I've sent one email to the main company but we'll see where that gets me.
I get a recording that says. It seems we have a mutual.......problem.

I think I know what this is about, its a bill of my ex husbands. Guess I had better handle it. These guys are bull dogs. They dont give up. Im sick of them already. Its been happening for the last two months now, with different numbers from the same people. I also get different recordings. They seem to be getting ruder.
