This company called to tell me I have an outstanding issue. That's funny, because I don't. They kept wanting me to verify my information and I kept repeating that I refuse to do that over the phone & especially with a company I have never heard of. I asked her what the outstanding issue was and was told I couldn't have that information until I verified my name & address. Nope, not a hope in hell; wasn't born yesterday.
Got a call from this number last night. Also a text! Said something like:
U R POISED 2 GO OVR ON CELL MINUTES. 2 CHANGE UR UR PLAN CALL 9054138660
Um, yeah, because Verizon sends texts in that kind of language. I did check my minutes though which were way under my plan. Glad to have a website like this to track these scums down.
905-413-8660 They called looking for the previous owner of my number.
They have called a dozen times so I called them a dozen times and Silvia a suppervisor almost started crying. So sad
I think I got the message to them this time If not I will call until I do.
I answered the phone thinking this was regarding employment. I was asked to press "1" to speak to someone. I was then greeted by a person with a very thick foreign accent asking me how they can help me, to which I replied you called me. They asked me to verify my name, which I would not do until he identified himself & the company that he was calling from. He did & then proceeded to ask me to verify my social security number (he did repeat the last 4 digits of my number). I told him that I was not verifying anything & asked why a Canadian collection agency was calling a number in the US. He stated that he was not in Canada, but in New York. I repeated that I was not verifying anything & promptly hung up.
I received a call from this number. The person was looking for someone who had this number before I did, approximately 5 years ago. They said that they would my number from their list. I hope so. We have been getting calls for this same person for over 4 years now from many different places.
