Same thing rang twice within a half hour. I did not pick up and it went to voicemail. No message was left. 145 is not a valid prefix exchange. So obviously they are trying to hide their true number.
Actually got to the automated spam message. Claims it is about my outstanding JCP&L account balance.
Pressed to speak to an agent. Was on hold for eight minutes. Woman picked up, seemed to be a bit shocked/flabberghasted that I went off on her before hanging up. Obvious scam.
What I don't get is how this scam seems to be even more incompetent then others that are going on. Only ringing twice before hanging up; don't they want to at least TRY to get victims to pick up? Having so few operators that they can't even get to a victim within a few minutes?
Note: I have a NJ area phone number though I no longer live there. Never had a JCP&L account in my life. I suspect they got some old database or are just robo calling through all NJ based area codes.
I got a call also but i don't answer it cause i don't know the number. i only answer the phone when i know the number that's calling me . So this way i don't get charged on my phone . Then they give up on calling all the time .This is the only way to drive em crazy . If you don't answer the phone they won't call anymore. They will get tired . Just remeber only to answer the numbers you know .
