Yes, I just received the same text. I do have Bank of America accounts and almost called them back until I saw it came from redmax.com

Someone just texted from 908-242-3058  claiming to be from Bank of America about important account info.

BOA says it wasn't them, that it's a phising technique.

Not stupid, just maybe a little naïve.  I would check your credit reports religiously because it could result in identity theft.  Good luck!

When calling the number, the automated operator asks for our SS#.  If you put in a 9 digit number, "she" asks for your 16  digit account number.  WTF?  They should know your account number if they know your SS#. Just a bunch of turds trying to steal from the public.
