Another criminal ripping off the public and using Verizon's name to do it. DO NOT CALL THESE DIRTBAGS BACK! Call Verizon directly and let them know you are being harrassed by thieves using their name, let them chase the [***] down.
This came up on Caller ID as Verizon - how do they do that? - because it wasn't Verizon. Robo message said my phone company had taken a survey and I indicated that I wanted a home security system.
The human hung up on me when he came on and I asked why his caller ID came up as Verizon-
My caller ID said "Verizon" too, and the caller (a recording) said that through Verizon somehow they called us about a home security system. I don't know if this is a phishing/spoof call where they change the caller ID number to make it look legitimate or if Verizon actually has companies who are connected with them who legitimately call. I have a call block function on my phone so used it although they called the other day even though I blocked their other number. I know there's a way to block a series of numbers but am afraid of blocking a legitimate number in the process. It's just very annoying and probably illegal for them to keep calling when you're on the "do not call" list.
And let me guess -- I'm betting your last name is Forest. Posting your actual name and phone number on a public forum is just ASKING for problems. Besides, this website can't make criminals stop calling you.
