Another criminal ripping off the public and using Verizon's name to do it. DO NOT CALL THESE DIRTBAGS BACK! Call Verizon directly and let them know you are being harrassed by thieves using their name, let them chase the [***] down.
Got 2 calls today.I missed the first one and they didn't leave a voice message.About 3 hours later I answered the 2nd call. She said she was calling from United Medical Alert. She said she wanted to send me a medical alert valued at $350. but there would be no cost to me. I asked how she got my number (which is my cell phone) she said I was referred by my medical provider. But she couldn't provide any info about my doctor or insurance. But she knew my first name. I told her I was not interested. She was very polite. I do not believe my doctor or insurance company would give out my number.
My caller ID identifies this as Verizon. I don't know it that who is calling, or if it is a Verizon cell phone. I tried to call it back, but it rang about 10 times with no znswer
Answered since Verizon is my cell provider. Knew it was a scam when she asked for the homeowner, not a name. Wanted to put a sign in my yard in exchange for free home security.
