I have an unlisted phone number and received a message on my voice mail from Richard Thomas urging me to call me back. I am also on the "do not call list". I will not be calling him back. Where does this scammer get phone numbers from?
Whether or not it's true for this situation or not I'm not sure, but I've been told that sometimes these calls can be individuals looking for valid phone numbers to tap into and use to make long distance calls - be careful of verifying your phone number by returning the call.
If you don't have a reason to know the person, I wouldn't return the call if they don't say why they're calling.
They've been calling everyone at work here one by one....
Voice mail message on my work phone - "This is Richard Thomas, 908/372-2460". Looking over my 'Missed Calls' log, I see he called several times on 8/23 and 8/24, targeting upper management in my office. Did a search on the number and name, found this site - I have no plans to call him back. Thank you.
