BTW: The "caller" is actually a machine that systemmatically calls numbers until it gets a human or an answering machine then leaves it's pre-recorded message. Then it catalogs all the "good" numbers and this company then sells those numbers to whomever.
Got 2 voice mail messages from Richard Thomas @ 908-372-2640 on my office phone while I was on vacation July 30 - Aug 4. I had my out of office voice mail active, so it seemed strange to me that he called twice. Also, at first I assumed he was a recruiter or something - but then found it strange that he did not email me (if he had found me online).
I wrote down the number and tried to call him back from my cell phone (b/c I assumed he was a recruiter) but the call didn't go through. I thought I probably mis-dialed.
Then just now, 8/29/08 at about 12:00 est, I was cleaning up my desk and came across the number. I called it, it rang about 6 times, and a voice mail picked up and said something like "this is Richard Johnson, I am unable to answer the phone at this time. Please call again later." and hung up - no option to leave a message.
I wish I had found this site earlier.
