yes I got a call this morning said his name was Steve Martin babbled on about federal court action and wanted me to call that number. Your description of him sounded right. I have no intention in calling this fool back as you should not either.
Has anybody received a call from 908-552-4723 (Caller ID showed New Jersey Call)? It seems not to be reported here. I just received, but as we don't answer unknown call, especially not out of our area, I didn't answer now, either. The call went to the answerer and I heard a very heavy accented male voice saying something about federal, but because of his accent, I couldn't understand, so I interrupted the call and blocked the number.
Sounds like another spoofed number being used by the Indian or Pakistani IRS scammers. They call claiming to be from the IRS, that you owe money for unpaid or miscalculated taxes and you must pay today by an untraceable payment method to avoid arrest. Just ignore the calls.
We received a phone call from this number this morning. The person had a very pronounced eastern accent and also the call seemed muffled. From what I was able to understand the call was maybe threatening Grand Jury action. I tried to back check the number and found that it is probably a cellphone with out any address or name attached to it. The number is supposed to be in Somerville NJ. In his message he left the name Steve Martin.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Yes I got a message from a man with heavy accent on my phone machine. He said his name was Steve Martin too. He left a message that I owe IRS some money. Asking to let them help me.
