Called and asked for the number on our printer in our office...I have had these calls before so I hung up. She called back and said that I "have an ugly name, by the way!" Who does that???
did some googling and found the number goes to either a not-very-well-liked pottery place in Redlands, CA.and also some clothing place in Seattle, WA.
Either way, not understanding why [they're] calling a Health Clnic in Ohio.............
This is a scam line. They will call and pretend to be a provider for some piece of office equipment and ask for a model number or some type of information. Usually they will call back within a day and let you know of a promotion that is ending soon and will talk their way into sending you something that is overpriced, poor quality, and in most cases won't even be compatible with your equipment. Don't give them any information at all, just hang up. It is a SCAM.
They called my job stating that they wanted to check the meter on the copy machine. I gave them the bull horn. They want call back again. When you call the number back they say it is not a long distance number.
They called my office today and said very slowly, "This is Lee, I am calling to check up on the office copier. Can you tell me what the model number is on it?" I said, "Why would you need that?" and they hung up on me.
