UPDATE I just called my cell phone provider. I explained that today alone, I just got 17 calls from different phone numbers, same scam, same everything and in the end, this is a big WIN for me, Yay!!!! Thing is, cell phone provider said that since I'm able to trace back all of these different numbers to the same www.healthcare.gov website then it's like a spider with all these different numbers coming to my cell from the same place. They said the only thing to do to stop it is for me to change my number. It's not a prank call, it's a scam and this scam is using numerous unlimited phone numbers that are coming from one main place. The reason it's a WIN for me is because I have an old Samsung Intensity 2 cell and now tonight when I can get over to my provider, I'm getting a brand new cell phone (a total upgrade for sure). Of course, a new cell number as well. This is a clean slate for me and I can't be happier so, thank you www.healthcare.gov for pushing me to finally getting a new number that I'm excited about and a new cell. I WIN / YOU LOSE. Best wishes to all of you that are suffering as I have just over the last 2 days. Since I've been writing this, I've gotten 3 more calls. By 9p.m. tonight, my cell will be peacefully quiet. Get smart and do the same. Don't let fool scammers mess with your day.
They say "they offer health insurance plans". They don't seem to be to knowledgeable about health insurance when thrown the odd question though. I'm not sure I'd offer anything other than No thank you. It's not something you will hear from them though as they are quite rude and hang up mid conversation. I attempted to call them back to find out what their company name was and I have been put on their reject list. It hangs up on my call automatically. I WOULD STRONGLY CAUTION ANYONE NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY!
I recently went looking for the reason these companies are able to abuse us as citizens with our own telephone devices and this is what I found. What hurts is I thought we paid the persons who work for the FCC to provide a service to the public. To deter and prevent our abuse across this media they are supposed to control. Has the American public been misled in thinking we pay them to do a job other than keep the pulse of the nation? Is that code for spying and that is all?
The FCC cannot resolve all individual complaints, but we can provide information about your possible next steps. Complaints about issues such as loud commercials, the Do Not Call List, robocalls, unwanted telephone calls, unsolicited faxes and similar issues covered by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act are shared among FCC bureaus and offices.
We do not resolve individual complaints on these issues. However, the collective data we receive helps us keep a pulse on what consumers are experiencing, may lead to investigations and serves as a deterrent to the companies we regulate.
