UPDATE I just called my cell phone provider. I explained that today alone, I just got 17 calls from different phone numbers, same scam, same everything and in the end, this is a big WIN for me, Yay!!!! Thing is, cell phone provider said that since I'm able to trace back all of these different numbers to the same www.healthcare.gov website then it's like a spider with all these different numbers coming to my cell from the same place. They said the only thing to do to stop it is for me to change my number. It's not a prank call, it's a scam and this scam is using numerous unlimited phone numbers that are coming from one main place. The reason it's a WIN for me is because I have an old Samsung Intensity 2 cell and now tonight when I can get over to my provider, I'm getting a brand new cell phone (a total upgrade for sure). Of course, a new cell number as well. This is a clean slate for me and I can't be happier so, thank you www.healthcare.gov for pushing me to finally getting a new number that I'm excited about and a new cell. I WIN / YOU LOSE. Best wishes to all of you that are suffering as I have just over the last 2 days. Since I've been writing this, I've gotten 3 more calls. By 9p.m. tonight, my cell will be peacefully quiet. Get smart and do the same. Don't let fool scammers mess with your day.
Wow, they keep calling me all day today. I got 7 calls total and the day is not out yet. Way I can really tell their scammers is because they're calling me from the west coast and I live on the east coast. With there being a several hour difference, they've already called me several times past 9p.m. my time which by law they have to stop calling by 9p.m. So, I guess I'll just have to let them keep calling and not getting anywhere. I must say, I filled out a form online today at www.healthcare.gov and the moment I submitted electronically, my phone rang. Told the guy this was all too fast and so I didn't want anything to do with them and not to call my number again. My mistake and so much for people abiding by your wish not to be called again. I just opened up my own can of worms so it's my fault. Live and learn like real fast. Just know that on the form they don't ask for your social security number but they do ask for your name, address, phone number, an email address, your birthdate, how tall you are and how much you weigh. They also want to know if you have anyone else in the house that needs insurance and if so, who, etc.... So, know that today is 01/22/2015 and this all happened to me today. Sucks but, I'll deal with it. Know that from the past I've had stuff like this happen before and eventually they stop. It may take a while but they do stop.
Just wanted to add that they called me at 6:48PM, 6:52PM, 6:56PM, 7:04PM, 8:34PM, 8:56PM, 9:17PM & 9:38PM. All calls came from 909-436-1379 and they didn't leave any messages. I also didn't answer any of the calls and I didn't try to call them back either. SCAMMERS FOR SURE.
