Rec'd call claiming to check water quality; asked several innocuous questions; pleasant enough. Tonight rec'd call congratulating me on winning a free vacation and a free water evaluation. Sounds 'scammy' to me.
Calling daily for weeks now, won't stop calling despite having been asked many times. Sick of it! It's a scam - they're pretending to be General Electric conducting a water quality survey, then they demand you submit a sample - tell you you're obligated to submit a sample - total harassment to force you to buy their water filtration system. We've asked them at least a dozen times to please stop calling!
I had the same experience, they said I won a vacation. I told them not to come for the testing and blocked the number. When the guy came to the door I asked for his supervisor's name and #. Name is Natasha and her # is (915) 526-3653.
It is indeed a scam, more of a Medusa scam or pyramid. Once you bite the others pop up! If your concerned about your tap water their are many free ways to have it tested like the EPA or other places with labs, most universities have labs and will do it for free. How much do you want to bet that anybody trying to throttle your wallet is going to tell you that your water is fine to drink? Have your water tested and buy our water filter and win a trip, come on man....they sound like they're suffering from a lack of copper and lead in their diet huh?
