WARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are B I G credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever!
Given the numbers are spoofed (faked) the people that own the exchange aren't exactly in bed with the callers. Unless you know something more about how they are placing the calls. 99% of these calls are made through 3rd parties that supply VOIP services. Simply google VOIP Marketing Solutions and you get a plethora of companies that supply this kind of product.
What I do find interesting is that they always seem to use numbers that are not in use. I've yet to call back a number that was actually a working number. Why would they be interested in taking care not to use numbers currently in use? Why not spoof a sex-hotline, a government line or something like that?
I just pressed 1 to speak with an agent to ask to have my number taken off this calling list. They literally call me every day even though my number is on the 'Do Not Call' list.
Anyway a guy picks up, heavy accent and I said, 'Hi! Can you please take my number off this calling list?' He replied, 'I'm not your f-ing servant! Stop barking like a dog you stupid dumb b*tch.'
Can we call the cops? I feel like this is harrassment.
Got a call from unknown number on my Google Voice number. Answered with Indian voice. On other end Middle Eastern guy trying to act American. Tells me about a special credit card offer in his silly accent. Says can get me zero percent APR. I say "ok this I want to do my friend". First asks for Credit Card Experation Date. I make up "11/2017". Then he asks for credit card number. I make up 16 digits. He reads it back. I say "Yes dis is correct my friend" in my Indian voice. He then tells me my Credit Card is invalid. They check it THAT fast. Then I break off and waste his time as I describe in detail the nasty things I did to his mother last night how I and made her eat a ham sandwich. He goes ballistic. I mean crazyyyyy. Starts yelling at me in Arabic then breaks into English with "I'll kick your [***]". We go back and forth. I talk about his sister and how everyone in Siria had relations with her. He finally hung up.
