i've gotten 7 calls from that number in four days. And i happen to be an ATT customer, who's had the same number for 3 years. I think it's more likely a boiler-room technique to get you to call them so they can pitch you on switching.
Verizon will apparently also call you if you've e-mailed them a request/complaint about why there are no "plans" that match the customer's need for frugality rather than only Verizon's insatiable Qwest for lucre.
Especially if you're "out of contract," know that you can change "service providers" at will, and then close your e-mail request for a rate decrease--I'm paying $ 40 for 450 minutes/mo but never go above 215, and there's no roll-over, of course — with this line:
Free at last. Free at last. Lord God Almighty, I'm free at last!
I received a call from this number and it was a follow up to a billing issue I had. The individual was professional and the matter was resolved to my satisfaction.
received several calls from (910)794-6200. Left a few messages. same as above. Verizon Wireless calling about my account. However, I am a Nextel customer. I attempted to return the call to have this company correct their information and STOP calling my cell. However, could never get anyone on the line. finally gave up. I just ignore the call now. but it does get annoying.
Actually, I received a call (actually a v-mail) after making an online inquiry about my contract. The call was delievered about four or five days after my inquiry. All reqested information was provided. Sadly, at least for Verizon, I'll be jumping ship to AT&T for the iPhone.
