I also received a similar call yesterday. It went something like this...Hi my name is Anita Roberts an investigator here from department of legal services. I have a citation and summons which needs your appearance. And the message goes on an on. So, I called to the number provided (Fisher and associates) from a landline and when, I call they automatically asume my last name was Mrs.Mora-Melchor...lol I have never, nor will I ever go by these last names. These two females answered... first, one by the name of Sarah and then Melony (the Manger in charge of running the scam)!!! Never call from your cell phone. They can obtain most of your information with one call. Be careful, these people made it sound legit.
This morning I received another call but, this time by a man named Frank. He stated to me in the message, we're waiting on a credit card number. I know its early but, call me back.
Keep in mind, I was about to get served a citation/subpoena yesterday between the hours 2 or 3 and if I wasn't home to sign for my paperwork then, Anita Roberts would arrive at my place of employment. Lol...24 hours later nothing. These people are criminals. And I hope they caught soon enough. Be careful,

I received a call at work today from Dan Copeland; he claims to be a processor for the State of Pennsylvania, & to have spoken to me a few weeks ago. I've never spoken to this gentleman in my life; however, he did leave a similar message February 3rd, stating that I needed to obtain a temporary court release stop number in order to prevent him & the local authorities from coming to my home or place of employment. He stated that a claim has been issued with my name, address & SSN, & I should contact Fischer & Associates at (914) 202-0065 in order to obtain this temporary stop number. Clearly that never happened, but today I received a similar message; however, this time he claims to have already spoken to me, & to have had a court release stop number on file. Logically, if there was a claim issued in PA, why would I need to call a company in NY to resolve this so called case? Secondly, he never states what the claim is or why I would need to be served documents. Lastly, he never gives any information to call him back, & he's calling from a private number. I couldn't have spoken to Mr. Copeland at any time, because the only phone number he left was for Fischer & Associates, & he supposedly is a processor for the state of PA. This is most definitely a SCAM!! It's a tactic used to scare people into thinking they owe money, & baiting them in to authorizing payments or committing to pay ridiculous amounts of money using their banking & credit card information.
Same Dan Copeland called me here in Arizona and said that he and the local authorities will be out today or tomorrow morning to serve me. This is seriously pissing me off.
Idiots left a vm on my work phone before the allowed hours of collection calls so I'm reporting them to the AG of my state. Then they called my mobile and just for fun I answered. They claim I owe money and they're going forward with a suit which they cannot legally do in my state. Very rude individuals. Do yourself a favor and just ignore any threats of service or suits from these people, they're just a bottom feeder collection company trying to scare people into giving them money.
