These guys just tried to scam my grandmother. they wanted her name date of birth and asked if she could verify her ssn for the insurance. I got on the phone and asked what pharmacy he was calling from, he then hung up on me.
Scam callers totally ignore the Do Not Call list. The only ones that can call are the legit calls like political or Red Cross or callers like that. If you ask to be removed from their calling list they are supposed to do that. Scam callers totally ignore the DNC list and change their numbers or spoof the numbers constantly. They are hard to locate and mostly come from outside the United States. The best thing is not to answer unknown calls. If it is important a msg would be left.
