I received a phone call from this number yesterday. They left a voicemail, but it was an automated message so the first part cut off. It was about an appointment asking me to press 2 to keep the appointment, 3 to cancel, or 4 to repeat the message and then said the recording said goodbye. It says it's from a California number, but I live in New York. I don't have any appointments in California.
I'm on the national do not call list but that doesn't seem to affect the folks making these calls. I don't answer unfamiliar numbers. the number is from the Orange County number.
That's a risk you take when you're answering unknown numbers in any manner. You can anger them back by not answering in any way. This is likely a recording with little to say, instead fishing for numbers with any kind of an answer.
