Really?? Seriously?? A "cable company" calling almost all the way across the country?? I don't think so!! Caller ID showed Charter Cable, and we, obviously, did NOT answer! Why would a "cable company" with a California area code, be interested in someone more than three quarters of the way across the country? They would not, which tells me that it is a scam!! Geeze!! Apparently these people believe that we, as consumers, are all "stoopid"!
I received a call from this number. When I answered I got the this call is being recorded message and then a sales person came on stating he was with charter cable. He asked what type of TV programingU prefered. I told him that was none of his business and that I don't have Cable TV. His reply back was that it most certainly was his business. At that point I figured the call had to be sum sort of a scam call and hung up.
Keep getting calls from this number, leaving no messages or disconnecting when it is answered. We live in GA and already have Charter (internet only) but still don't know who this call is from.
Oh holy hell. If it really is charter, those [***] hat clowns should be happy I already have their damn internet. Thankfully I know how to use that wonderfully underrated 'call block' button. How is annoying the crap out of your customers a good business mantra?!?
I've blocked at least 3 of Charter's phone numbers in the last year but it's never enough. No matter how many times I tell them I don't want their cable, that I work 3rd shift and don't want to be called at random times during the day, and complain about the internet service I currently have with them, they insist on calling me at least once a week asking me to sign up for cable and/or telephone. If I could get any other internet service, I would. It's becoming more and more of a challenge remembering that the people who make the calls are just doing their job.
