I got several calls from this number while I was traveling in Ireland in September. One call was for 7 minutes and i have absolutely no idea who this was??? I called AT&T and they were very helpful and removed the charges from my bill. I mentioned this thread so they would know I wasn't the only one
This number 970-375-9242 appeared on my wireless bill for dates between 6/25 and 6/30. It showed as "International roaming" charges. I was in Ireland in between those dates.
I was in Ireland and had several calls from this number on my ATT bill. Tried to call the number and it does not ring. ATT says "sorry, we can't help,you talked to this number. The ATT rep tried to call to no avail.
I was also in Ireland in July 2012 and have a charge on my aT&T bill for a call to this number. I did not use my phone for any calls while traveling abroad. This happened to me as well in Germany. I will be calling AT&T. They were very easy to deal with last time so I hope this time is the same. I'd like to know why this happened as it seems awfully strange we were all in Ireland in the same timeframe and were all charged for the same number which we did not call!
As a follow-up, AT&T was extremely easy to deal with about this. They promptly issued a credit to my account. I also told them about the other comments from above and noted that it seems like an awfully strange coincidence that we were all in Ireland in the same 30 day timeframe, all received no calls from this same number, and all had charges on our accounts. The rep said he would pass this information along. Hope this was useful.
