They are just one of the many ink and toner scammers out there. Just tell them you're under a contract with Canon/Xerox/HP etc and that you have a multifunction center. They'll never call you again. Good Luck!
someone claiming to be from Evergreen printing supplies. The person wanted to sell me discounted ink and toner and asked what printer I was using. I messed with the guy for a while and gave a bogus printer model. This of course prompted a superviser to get on the phone since they thought they found a sucker who would buy their printing supplies. :) Try to waste as much of their time as you can if you get calls like this. Act like your dumb and really need their help to get ink or toner. Messing with these scammers is almost as as fun as reeling in a big fish, especially when you can sense the excitment on their end. :)
I actually tried out a toner from these guys and liked it and payed. Yeah it was a telemarketer and she was a little pushy but thats the name of the game i guess. It wasnt discounted but a little more expensive because I purchased a toner with plant resins.but no complaints here! evergreenprintingsupplies.com is the website.
I received a call from evergreen last week. I hate to be rude to telemarketers so I listened and decided to try the ink out. Today a woman from shipping called and left a voicemail with her name and number and asked that I call her back to validate the shipping address. I called the 800 number she had left me and a woman answered and asked me to hold. When she got to me a few minutes later I let her know the name of the woman I was calling for and she asked me for a four digit number. I told her that i was not aware of what number she was talking about and that all the voicemail had stated was name, comany and a phone number. She insisted saying "she would have left a four digit number" and that was how she tracked my order. I politely again told her that no four digit number was left. She asked for the business telephone number - I gave it to her and as she looked up my info she again said "i know she gave you a four digit number" - i snapped back replying with "I assure you she did not!" The woman pulled up my order and i asked her to cancel it immediately - she did and hung up. RUDE RUDE RUDE! Was looking forward to trying the ink but if thats the customer service at Evergreen Printing - the possible savings are not worth the aggrivation.
We had a call from Evergreen Printing Supplies and we tried one of their toners. Then a second call came in saying we had one more to purchase to fulfill our obligation. Nothing was ever said about an obligation in the first phone call. So we paid for the second toner. Another call came in a few weeks later saying we still had 2 more toners to fulfill our obligation and I threatened them with a call to the Better Business Bureau and they begged me not to call the Better Business Bureau. They sent a letter saying they wouldn't call us, email, or send any correspondence again. I told her that scammers such as their company need to be put out of business. We are a small rural library and were just trying to help them out by trying their toner.
