Received the call at 12:22pm today, Labor Day. I knew it was a scammer from the CID - didn't answer.
Have blocked the ENTIRE 970 AREA CODE.
And to Jack Rosenthal above - call blocking devices and call blocking phones "do work." I'm living proof of that.
IF you block an entire area code, ostensibly, you have blocked 10,000,000 phone numbers.
Please purchase a call blocking phone or a blocking device that blocks entire area codes. These devices are inexpensive and the work!
Between our home and my office lines, we have over 90 area codes blocked.
Thank you to all who post here.
Yep, it's Rachel from Credit Card services giving me my last notice. Not! And sometimes it's Carmen. It's my house phone, so I just answer and then immediately block the number. My basic panasonic brand house phone has this capability and I never knew this until I starting using this site. Thanks to a savvy poster that taught me something. It may take awhile to figure out how to block the number but it's well worth the Cheshire cat grin when it rings once and then you read call blocked on the cid. Just puts a little amusement in my day. Btw, I have been receiving fewer and fewer calls since I started blocking.
"Someone should track down Credit Card Services and sue them out of existence as accessories to missing/exploited persons rings. "
If someone takes care of tracking them down, I'll take care of sueing them out of existence. Per statutory damages I am owed over $100,000 by these dirtbags, I have filed over 100 FCC complaints against them so it's all properly documents.
