Just got a call from 971-208-9960 Salem, OR
I identified it as "survey" but it is reall a scam.
It was a recorded call from "Sarah".
She wanted me to answer a few "survey" questions which, in return, I would receive a FREE TRIP to the Bahama Islands. The FREE offer was followed by a rapid account of the various CHARGES which accompanied this FREE trip in payment for my time and compliance. Told to press "1" or if I wanted to be taken off their list to press "9." I merely hung up. I do not press one of "their " numbers.
Looks like these a-holes are working overtime - page 1's first call is about 9 hours ago; I'm posting this on page 5. Mine said "IND SUR GROUP" and was a robocall about getting a free cruise, but the message was already in progress when my VM kicked in. Added the number to my DNA list which is open every day to tally up the number of junk calls I get. Still looking for someplace to report this crap which can actually DO something about it. The Do Not Call register is utterly worthless.
Call logs from my phone provider shows that they called while my phone was accidentally left off the hook earlier today (3:34 pm EDT) resulting in a "no answer" from my call waiting. Googled the number to see who it might be as it was not listed in my phone contacts and found this site. Glad to know what it was.
This number will now get a similar message to the one that they route incoming calls to, except that my phone provider includes the special information tones for non-working numbers when I tell them to route certain incoming numbers to the "non-working number" message. This will likely result in their computer marking my number as a non-working number if they ever should try to call back.
