I got the exact same thing today. Interesting however, as we just bought two new computers from Best Buy in Salem. Any connection to your new computer purchases?
They don't have your IP address, they want you to open your PC by going to their website which is not a so-called website it's just a program setup to latch onto your computer when you open the site (it's like being connected to their network, the administrator can open all your files once you do this)
Got the same call. Said his name was John Taylor - Indian accent with a generic name. Thought it was outsourcing until I asked a question or two and I knew it was a scam. Had fun with him, got his number and hung up. We get scam calls all the time and, for fun, we like to harass them. He hasn't called bad unfortunately.
Just recieved a call from 971-217-9510 to refund my money for fixing my computer. Person could hardly speak english like a second language. Told me his name was Anthony.
