Man med indisk brytning började tala om min dator, bröt samtalet direkt.
Klockan 11.56 åter uppringd från 971-271-9518 av en kvinna som började prata om min dator, bröt även detta samtal direkt.
Got a call from this number last week - accent so thick I could barely understand. When they called again this week from a variant of the number (9508) I told him I don't own a computer (which is true, I use one from work.) I don't think the DNC laws will apply here - it's an Oregon area code but I suspect they are calling from outside the country, so our laws won't apply. Wish they didn't have my cell #. :-(
Ditto many of the comments above. I repeatedly told the caller that I doubted his legitimacy and insisted he identify himself. His answers were unacceptable and I assured him I suspected him to be a fraud. This frustrated him to no end. Caller expressed his frustration, first insulting my intelligence and then attempted flattery, compliments, but coming across as making a pass, inviting himself to visit me if I were alone tonight. Lower than low. I ended the call abruptly, but he called back. I did not answer and will not accept further calls from this number. Hopefully, there will be no naive persons falling for this ridiculous ruse.
Indian (soiunding) man just called me, says he was from some technical support and wanted me to press ctrl-R, I was a little freaked out, due to just opened my computer, figured how he could have my home number??... long story short, scam.. There's a special place for these people.
So this number called me on my cellphone this week. I picked up, and because my phones rooted i have a 2 way call recorder. I proceeded to record the entire call, and this heavily accented female claiming she was from Microsoft, said i had hundreds of errors on my pc. So i ask her, whose the brand, what year was it made, whats my ISP, and what OS am I running. Her words as i quote " You are having an MSI gaming laptop with the running of Windows xp home editions 2 service packs, your provider of internet servicings was AT&T, The laptop was 2010 production. I proceeded to ensure she was wrong, and that I never seen a computer from 2010 with XP on it. She proceeds to curse at me and call me a lying piece of sh~t. I explained, Your wrong for 2 things.
1. Windows XP is nolonger made, supported or in use by home pc's in 2010
and
2. I own a mac.
i was installing new virus program when i got this call from east indian saying he was from 24 hour support and that my computer was sending error messages to microsoft........SCAM could not understand him and hung up.never called back.
