Man med indisk brytning började tala om min dator, bröt samtalet direkt.
Klockan 11.56 åter uppringd från 971-271-9518 av en kvinna som började prata om min dator, bröt även detta samtal direkt.
Got the call but ignored thanks to call display. Unfortunately the scammers must be using either a cell line, VOIP or some other "exotic" phone delivery method as Telus' call screen service won't work on this number.
Yeah, that's the kind of people these are. I made the mistake of wasting their time and asking a bunch of questions and then I hung up and the guy called me back (on his real phone number, which I promptly reported) and screamed at me "You tink imma foo!" "You tink imma foo!" (sorry - best way I can replicate the accent) I said "yes" and hung up. Word to the wise for Anna and others, though - strongly advise your voicemail greeting NOT give your full name. After "imma foo" called me back a second time and it went to voicemail I realized I probably don't want these idiots knowing my real name. Too bad they aren't in North America (the idiot who called me was clearly in India) otherwise Anna might have been able to get the police after them for soliciting prostitution (assuming she lives in the 90% of North America where it's illegal!).
They have found Hawaii, I have had calls daily, this phone number and one other number so far, same story...Microsoft tech support...the first time I asked for his phone number, which he gave..when I tried to call that, all it did was ring busy. Tonight, from this phone number, another bogus call, my husband asked him for his personal phone number so he could call him back. He gave it willingly (it was on the caller id in any case) I googled the number and ended up here. I am on a do not call list, I told him that on the first call, and to please take me off the list, he said he would "try" to. I hope I will not be inundated with these bogus calls, is this one small group of people? or some large group?
These people keep calling, wanting to access our computer, due to a virus message, it is sending out. We keep hanging up on them, as they are scammers, trying to access information. Don't give them any and do the same, in hanging up on them.
I also just received a phone call from an Indian man stating the my Windows needed to be fixed and if I would just signon he would help me fix it. I told him this was a scam and hung up.
