We don't even have credit cards. When it asked to push 1 to be transferred to a representative, I did so and simply said, "How do I get removed from your call list?"...they hung up. I called back and got a recording that said, "Thank you for calling back. To be removed from this list press 1 (again) which I did. I do not expect to stop receiving these calls. If anyone knows what I need to do to get them to stop, I'm all over it.
I usually come home to voicemails about being able to get a lower rate on my credit card and blah, blah...tonight I pressed one and was transferred to a "friendly customer service person", she wanted to know all kinds of financials and how much I owed. I asked if there was a website I could look at, and she politely informed me her job was to "qualify" me and then transfer me to someone else.
I told her I wasn't interested. She wasn't rude or pushy, just said "sorry" and hung up.
I agree, it's a huge scam, but the poor kid was just doing her job. If anything, I'll hang up if they call again.
We frequently get calls from 971-220-1002. Most recent was just yesterday, Nov. 28th.
Being on the Do Not Call lists makes no difference to them.
The simplest defense is to monitor your calls and don't answer.
They do not leave a message.
We get calls from this same area frequently and they are always talking about "card holder services". I have asked them many times not to call anymore and to take our number off their list. I even told them that I now consider their calls to be harassment and that I would report future calls. Sometimes they just disconnect when someone answers. Other times they try to talk about their services. I do not know how to proceed to stop these calls. Any suggestions?
